Research Fellowships 2027:
Indigenous Philosophical Traditions of the Americas
Call for Applications
Deadline: December 1, 2026

The Center for Advanced Studies “Philosophizing in a Globalized World: Historical and Systematic Perspectives” (GloPhi) at the University of Hildesheim (Germany) is offering research fellowships for philosophers from the Americas for a 12-month or a 6-month research stay at our Center. Fellowships may begin at any time during the year 2027.
Our Center is a DFG-funded research project dedicated to a globally oriented, cross-cultural approach to philosophy. The research goal of our Center is to broaden the philosophical canon by creating a platform for exchanges among philosophers from diverse languages, regions, and philosophical traditions.
In our effort to amplify marginalized and unrecognized philosophical voices and perspectives, we invite philosophers from the Americas to apply for a fellowship. We particularly encourage applications from philosophers specializing in indigenous philosophical traditions and indigenous languages.
Alongside the Center’s core team of researchers and other scholars, the research fellow will engage in collaborative research across regional and national boundaries. Successful fellows are required to actively contribute to the ongoing research project at the Center.
